Nokia might be slightly overreaching with their prediction, only because WiFi is still so scorching hot that the consumer market may be preoccupied with connecting at hotspots or their citywide network. Nevertheless, Bluetooth has become virtually a ubiquitous technology, and it has become pretty much a standard in most new cellphones anyway.

15. I have been left on the side of the information highway - by choice. I love the Radio Shack advertisement from the boyfriend who admits he's not a multi-tasker and has no clue who's Blue Tooth. Good for a laugh.

17. Now that 2007 has come, I guess Nokia did not get the whole bluetooth market because Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericsson are on top also for the bluetooth features. Manufacturers are making bluetooth enabled cellular phones already (probably almost all new models).
18. I am looking for sales figures of Bluetooth enabled portable devices in Europe by country - cellphones, mp3 players etc. Does anyone know of a data source for this? Many thanks!

20. I'm pretty sure most people are only going to consider buying phones with bluetooth nowadays. I noticed a lot more people talking to themselves while walking into stores etc. (Aka they have one of those tiny bluetooth headsets on :P) On a plus side, at least a lot more people are using two hands instead of one, while talking on their phone.

1. though the market for bluetooth will be up. nokia will still not be getting the majority of the marketshare since motorola and samsung offer better products in terms of style and design which is what users first want in a phone these days.
